Here is everything you need to know about getting here, where to park, and what to do when you arrive.

On arrival: Checking in

When you arrive at The Catalyst, please head straight to the main ground-floor reception to check in. The reception team at The Catalyst will notify our team that you’ve arrived, and we’ll come down to meet you.

• Monday – Thursday: 08:30 – 16:30
• Friday: 08:30 – 16:00

How to get here

Whether you’re travelling by public transport or driving, getting to our office is straightforward.

🚗 By car & parking info

If you are driving via the A64, take the exit towards A1079 / York / Hull and follow signs for Campus East / York Science Park along Field Lane onto Baird Lane.

• On-Site Campus Parking: Free visitor parking is available near The Catalyst across Campus East. You will need to obtain a guest parking pass, please speak with your meeting host to organise this prior to your visit. You can park in the following car parks with a visitors pass: The Catalyst Car Park, Field Lane Car Park, Kimberlow Lane Car Park.
• If you park without a guest pass you could receive a parking fine!!

🚌 By bus

York has excellent bus services linking the main train station and city centre directly to Campus East.

• Routes: Hop on any of the following local bus routes: U1, U2, U3, U4, or UN1.
• Where to get off: Alight at the stops along Field Lane or Baird Lane right by the Science Park.
• Schedules: You can check live departures and route maps via the First Bus York website.

🚆 By train

• Arrive at York Railway Station (on the London Kings Cross – Edinburgh LNER main line).
• From the front of the station, you can take a taxi directly to The Catalyst (approx. 15–20 minutes depending on traffic).
• Alternatively, catch the U1 or U2 bus from right outside the station straight to Campus East.
